Col de Joux-Plane
1700m

Located in the northern French Alps south of Lake Geneva.  The length and steepness are very similar to Alpe d'Huez. Average grade is around 8.4%.

Lance Armstrong bonked today and lost over a minute to Ullrich.  Richard Virenque won the stage.  Pantani pulled out of the race.
