July 14th - 29th 2001.  Our Tour de France vacation consisted of a group of three Paramount riders (Ed, Steve, Joe) and one Cycles Veloce rider (Ken).  Once again we booked our trip through Graham Baxter Sporting Tours which is based in the UK  http://www.sportingtours.co.uk/.   

Our trip started in Barcelona, Spain and we met our group in Carcassonne, France on the July 19th which was the TDF's first rest day and transfer from the Alpine to Pyrenean stages. From there we watched the remaining stages and rode a great deal of the race course.  The route carried us through the Pyrenees, Southwestern France, the western edge of  the Massif Central, Central France, the Loirre Valley and into Paris.
