The annual Orange County California New Years Day Critical Mass ride starts on Jan 1st at 8AM in Long Beach.  It is approx 100 Miles heading south on PCH to Dana Point, then inland through south Orange County.  It heads through Irvine and Newport Beach before hitting PCH for the last 20 miles.  This ride is attended by racing cyclists. Inexperienced and timid riders should not attend this ride.

In past years the group has swelled to over 1000 riders.
