Back to the mountains.  This time its the Pyrenees.   The tour riders began the first of four stages.  Most of us took the bus to the town of Foix where we rode a mountainous course above the main rode then proceeded up the Plateau de Bonascre.   This was almost the exact same route we rode in 2001.   Scott opted to ride the entire course from Toulouse to the finish.  It was an epic ride for him with a lot of interference from the Gendarmes.   The climb to the Bonascre is rather steep but fairly short at 10.5K.
