2003 Tour de France Trip ---- Stage 15 Bagneres-de-Bigorre to Luz-Ardiden

Bagneres region, Col du Tourmalet, and Luz Ardiden

Monday July 21st We split up in two groups today. Joe, Steve and I rode out from Lourdes to watch the race towards the beginning. We climbed the Tourmalet in 2001 and decided to not go into the mountains today. Greg, Scott, and Cameron did a big loop from Lourdes via the Tourmalet. Greg rode up Luz-Ardiden and watch the stage from there. The rest of us opted for the TV. Lance Armstrong won the stage after the now famous crash caused by a "Credit Lyonaise" souvenir bag on the way up. Photos Map of Ride
