This area of the climb is called the Casse Déserte. It is about 2k from here to the summit
Milano at the monument to cycling legends Coppi and Bobet.
Looking back at the climb. After the race passed, the Gendarmes held everyone up for a while. Once the let us go there was over 500 cyclists descending the mountain together.
